The Impact of the Adam Walsh Act on States

Implemented in January 2008, the Adam Walsh Act is creating evolving law and standards in an attempt to standardize sex offender registration and management law across the country. The Act seeks to expand on data collected and the frequency of updates regarding offenders. These mandatory rules significantly increase the amount of work at the local level and will hopefully serve to bring greater standardization between users, states and the public.

The ultimate acceptance of the AWA is factored into OffenderWatch® so that virtually no enhancements are necessary once state legislation is in place.

Watch Systems knows the Adam Walsh Act inside and out and will help you stay compliant and informed as legislation evolves.
