In the News: Beaumont PD Credits OffenderWatch in Citywide Compliance Crackdown

Beaumont Police Department's Special Crimes Unit ran a citywide sex offender registration compliance operation on July 22, 2026, checking more than 60 registered offenders and opening new criminal investigations where violations were found.

Lt. Bryan Skinner of the Special Crimes Unit credited the department's improved tracking to the Beaumont City Council's support of a new Sex Offender Ordinance and the implementation of OffenderWatch software, saying the tools have "strengthen[ed] our ability to monitor compliance, identify violations, and hold offenders accountable."
